PVP Tournament!

All events are to be hosted by an officer.
It needs much planning and help that it cannot be done alone by our member.

At the very least, help shot get the event going.

Idk if this sounds good or not but I was thinking of something like this

Since we are the Fighters League having a PVP league set up for once a month

Start out with 4 random groups or more depending on how many people join.

1st week would be group play for ranks 1-4 in each group.

2nd week would be playoff(elimination) week.

Ranks 1's in all groups would play the Rank 4's and Rank 2's playing the Rank 3's

This gives everyone a fair shot at the crown, title, and/or prize.

3rd week would be finals.

Prizes could be like this

1st= Adv Avatar or 1 mil gold
2nd=500k
3rd=150k

Matches could be recorded and sent to me so I could make a monthly Fightersleague montage video

alright well we should definitely use this thread to discuss how to go about this tourney when we actually do have it. I don't quite understand how your idea would work out, but I think easiest way to go would just be a standard tournament bracket. The fee to enter is a standard because I know I don't have 2m to throw out. Not sure how much it should be but it should be at least 20k or over, just so we can have a bigger prize. I think 1st 2nd 3rd should win money, and 4th and 5th should get their money back. Maybe 1st and 2nd should go on in our brackets? so say...

x- being the losers

then have...

x and x fight to give them a second chance. I say do best 2/3 matches and everyone get's ONE second chance, so if you lose a match you can still play again. like an extra life if you will.

someone asked me to explain the group stage yesterday.

basically its this

Player7 1 2 3
Player8 3 0 1

Playoff Brackets based upon Group standings(number in ()is what rank they are.)

Player1(1) vs Player 6(4)
Player2(2) vs Player 7(3)

Player3(3) vs Player 5(2)
Player4(4) vs Player 8(1)


Only reason I like this idea better then just a regular pvp tournament is because it gives everyone a chance to play multiple pvp matches against most of the people in the guild and giving the option to be more active and to learn how multiple characters play.

I just don't understand how this would work would have have each rank play each rank? and then how are you going to win?

its not rocket science dude lol its the same playoff system used in fifa. Except everyone from the group makes it to the knockout(playoff) round.
You get your rank based on the group stage standings.

Ok i'll explain it simpler

In the group stage your basically play for ranks in your group 1-4

Then after the group stage comes the playoff rounds

matchups would be

Rank 1's playing the Rank 4's

Rank 2's playing the Rank'3's

Its a simple playoff League system. its not that complex and everyone gets to play multiple matches.

if u watched the world cup recently this would b very simple to understand.

wat happens is that i guess in this situation there is no elimination in the first bracket. the first round is only used to rank the ppl within that specific group.

after the ranking is done i guess there should b elimination. ppl fight in this match-up: 1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd. like the semi finals then grand final. or the matches would just go on forever :/
